Something extraordinary happened at Spring Creek Park on Friday night. Over 200 parents, kids, grandparents, neighbors, friends, and even pups turned out for our first movie night.
You brought the heart. We brought the fun. Together, we made magic.✨
Heroes of the Night
None of this would’ve happened without:
- You: For showing up with chairs, cheer, and contagious enthusiasm.
- Sascha Moyer and Michael Colyer: Whose sponsorship made this dream a reality.
- Nancy Bernardi: Our porta-potty hero! (Every event needs one 😉).
- El Burrito Food Truck: For fueling us with delicious burritos and tacos that vanished faster than Puss in Boots’ “cute eyes.” 🌯
- Kona Ice: For keeping us cool with a rainbow of snow cones (the real MVP of a summer night!). 🍧
- Home Depot: For donating our trash containers.
The “First-Event Gremlins”
Yes, we had hiccups. A screen that flirted with rebellion. A projector that conspired with Lord Farquaad. But here’s what mattered more:
- Neighbors offering help before we even asked.
- Kids giggling and playing through the dark screen.
- The collective cheer when Shrek finally, finally flickered to life…
A Final Thank You
To every volunteer who hauled equipment, every family who pick up their trash, and every person who stayed to help cleanup under the stars: you are why we do this.
We’re creating this organization to build community bonds. On Friday, you showed us how powerful those bonds can be.
